The Most Beautiful Race in the World – 1955 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL at the Mille Miglia 2026

Before sharing the story of this incredible adventure, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to our wonderful drivers. Traveling all the way from the United States to Italy to participate in the Mille Miglia is no small undertaking, and their passion, dedication, and enthusiasm made this journey truly unforgettable. From the very first kilometer to the finish line in Brescia, we shared an experience laughter, breathtaking scenery, and a mutual love for historic automobiles. The memories created during these remarkable days will stay with us forever.

There are classic car events — and then there is the Mille Miglia.

From 9 to 13 June 2026, Italy once again hosted what Enzo Ferrari famously described as “the most beautiful race in the world.” Over five unforgettable days, hundreds of historic automobiles traced the legendary Brescia–Rome–Brescia route, covering more than 2,000 kilometers through some of Italy's most breathtaking landscapes.

This year, we had the privilege of participating with our beautifully restored 1955 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, finished in the exceptionally rare factory color DB 353 Blue Metallic over a cream interior—a combination that perfectly captured the elegance and glamour of the Mille Miglia era.

A Rolling Museum

The 2026 Mille Miglia welcomed more than 400 historic automobiles from around the globe, transforming Italy into a moving museum of automotive history. Competitors and crews represented dozens of nations, bringing together enthusiasts, collectors, and drivers from every corner of the world in a shared celebration of motoring heritage.

Only vehicles eligible for the original Mille Miglia races held between 1927 and 1957 are accepted, making participation one of the highest honors in the classic car world.

Stage 1 – Brescia to Padua
The adventure began in Brescia, where thousands of spectators lined the streets as the cars departed. The route climbed through the Valle Trompia and Valle Gobbia before passing Lake Garda and continuing through Vicenza to the overnight stop in Padua.

Stage 2 – Padua to Montecatini Terme
Crossing Italy from east to west, competitors traveled through Ferrara, Modena, and Reggio Emilia before tackling the historic Abetone Pass. The day concluded among the elegant Art Nouveau surroundings of Montecatini Terme.

Stage 3 – Montecatini Terme to Rome
One of the most scenic days of the event led through Tuscany, including Pietrasanta and Siena's famous Piazza del Campo, before continuing south past Lake Bolsena and Lake Vico to the traditional turning point of the race: Rome.

Stage 4 – Rome to Rimini
The convoy headed north once more, passing through the heart of Italy and historic towns that have welcomed Mille Miglia competitors for generations.

Stage 5 – Rimini to Brescia
After nearly 2,000 kilometers of driving, precision tests, mountain passes, and unforgettable scenery, the final stage brought competitors back to Brescia, where the finish celebrations marked another successful chapter in Mille Miglia history.
